I like dark places.

Tunnels, spaces where shadows and lights compete. play and mingle. "Rooms" often very light and very dark, lots of contrast – but I always settle for the darks shades and and often enough the light values just goes out the window.  So in the bright areas of the image there is nothing there; 000 in RGB. Sometimes these white areas gets some grey values and sometimes I just let stay the way the are. I guess I could fix this little problem with a tripod and make different exposures and mix them som get more details in the white and dark areas of the photo. Or is there another way? I am no photograph!

These photos are taken under the Liljeholms-bridge, quite near from where I live, where the bridge meets one of the big islands that makes up Stockholms inner city. In this rather scruffy areas there are two "rooms" with a  sort of brick building in the middle surrounded by two rows of pillars. There are three big entries where the light can come in. One one side there is a large building – but the other side is free. The first photo shows the outer room and the brick building. The second, third and fourth shows the inner room. The fifth picture portraits the big building and on the sixth you see, well almost, the bridge which leads over to Liljeholmen.

The image strange days is also, except for Rembrandt taken at this place. derkert.deviantart.com/#/d4r8n… lights inside these rooms change a lot according to time of day and seasons. The are also different things inside the rooms, mostly cars and junk. But thats allright with me. It is a desolate place, but sort of small and "cozy".

These are all photo manipulations except for pic 2 (the strange white stuff was enlarged and lightened up) and last one  there was originally  no figur at all. Don't know why I put him there!

I never thought that "bridge" subject could be so well presented. You know, we have a poet (Romanian) - Tudor Arghezi which has a famous lines in a poem
From moldy and dirt bumps
I rise up new faces for beauties

I don't know why the"under bridge" remind me by Arghezi.
