The Three Graces by derkert The Three Graces by derkert
Just a little light headed fun after some dark and maybe gloomy pictures of Slussen. See recent journal.

Charites, known in Greek mythology as The Three Graces, goddesses of such things as charm, beauty, and creativity. In Roman mythology they were known as the Gratiae.

three graces on a concrete wall
they sat and spewed a waterfall
the one was fair as fair could be
all in white was dress-ed she
the next one dark, mysterious
but nevertheless quite serious
the last in line,
all to the left,
wasn't doing so fine,
'cause her lips were cleft.

They are drainage pipes from a road construction, and the while is lime, I guess.

I see the humor, but I actually like these forms. As simple as they are, they have a certain vitality. Maybe that's what makes them amusing.

I can imagine using details like this on a Brutalist-style building ... possibly as a kind of waterspout.

Yes I like the form too.

Water spouts that what they are. There was first just one, I think by making them three humour emerged.

And the title of course!
