Machines dream sheep by derkert Machines dream sheep by derkert
One of many variations. This picture have jumped from depicting an animal, to abstract, to being machine like. This one is sort of in between. What this machine does I am not sure of. At one time it was a submarine on wheels. Dont know if am finished with it....

It does look like all those things. I like that about it. For me it just seems like a living thing. Like something that we don't know is alive, but it is. Very nice.

One of those things dead, but connecting to something inside of us!

Once again many thanks!

I love this. It's like some strange, surreal dream making machine on wheels. But crazy weird dreams. The kind that leave you wondering for a few days after having them.

I like the industrialization vibe. Kind of steampunk-y. Those long verticals work so well.

Great image. It has hints of logic but makes no sense at all. Or vice versa!

In one version it is a turned down maypole. Very Phallic! That makes some sense. But yes I know what you mean. That is what I like!

Thanks Richard!

Yeah. I had the book in mind but did not remember the full title.

Now I have uploaded the 4th version of this picture. Hope I am done now!

You're welcome, Edvard.

While your image captures certain important elements of Philip K. Dick's book, I think that it doesn't necessarily derive from the text. It stands on its own without any problem ... or you might have with a story of your own to tell.

I have not read the book, only seen the film. A story of its own: Tina from Brigton had an idea; Skateboard struck by lightning and come alive, now working as an undercover secret agent!

I it also a a movable phallos (more vivid in some of the variations)

Ah, it reminded me of some of the wheeled props from David Lynch's Industrial Symphony #1. And maybe the mock bulls that are used to charge at matadors-in-training.

With your experience in performance art ... well, there might be more possibilities. Maybe more objects/characters are needed.

Never seen that one. A film? Mock bulls! Yes spilling over from my previous image!

For further use as a performance: "Edvard the mocking bull"
