Critiques
The center piece is the drawing of a man seated at a small coffee house table with an empty glass in front of him. His hands are clenched between his knees - a somehow desperate gesture. Has he been drinking? We don't know. The title suggests a preoccupation with his future ... what is he waiting for?
The posture of his head suggests he is looking at us but instead of a face we see a black hole staring at us and find ourselves staring back, helplessly trying to hold his inexistent gaze. This man is gone, no way to reach him anymore. He may have successfully forgotten his future just because there is no present that can evolve into one.
"The black hole has a one-way surface into which objects can fall, but out of which nothing can come. It is called "black" because it absorbs all the light that hits it, reflecting nothing."
I'm still not sure if I like this picture or not but it undoubtedly has quite an impact on the viewer and that's what makes it interesting.
Ah yes, nice hairdo as well ... !
