Beautiful as the moon by derkert Beautiful as the moon by derkert
FULL TITLE: Beautiful as the moon, terrible as an army with banners

This figure came as a big surprise to me. Fleshy and surreal and.............

Please tell me what you see! Cant make up my mind when it comes to a title!

I have decided for the the title: Beautiful as the moon, terrible as an army with banners. Too long and not as much to the point as some of the other suggestions. Thank you all very much – they were all very helpful.
The title is a shorter version of:

“Who is this who looks down like the dawn, beautiful as the moon, bright as the sun, awesome as an army with banners?”
songs of Solomon 6:10

some suggestions from the viewers:

bleeding bride
dance, surprise or fear
red may makes one think of blood
lady macbeth on the brink of going crazy
She's Suddenly Beautiful
Joseph with the striped shirt
Dervish
Sufism branch of Islam
Minerva.
Turkish Dancer
Striped dancer
styckmordets rester och en dröm om det hela
(The remains of a chopped up body and the the dream of it)
dancing girl in a folk costume

I would have said something like Lady Gaga Dancing..haha. [link]

Apologies, I know too much about pop culture. =P Otherwise, it is a violent, provocative piece dressed up in a white gown for the occasion. I like it very much.

Not directly, but it is a brilliant title! So many good words in the Bible even when one does not follow its faith(s).

The interesting part of it - the outside border with classic pattern that let the stripes inside talking (and ease the effect).
These is a section above lines that looks visceral - maybe because color - but remain a dancer, no doubt - Stripes' dancer -

I'm thinking of the Sufism branch of Islam, the mystical side of Islam. I believe they use dance as a kind of meditation? Anyway this is very beautfil, I love the abstract patterns and colour scheme! :)
